GEOLOGICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IGROŠ ZEOLITE TUFF DEPOSITS

The "Igroš" zeolite tuff deposit belongs to the Kruševac neogene basin and is located in the atar of the village of Igroš. It extends to about 8 km east of the town of Brus and 3 km northeast of the river Rasina. On the examined part of the terrain in the locality of Igroš, two ore fields were distinguished: the Šovići-Đorđevići ore field and the Igroš-Vidojevići ore field. The samples of zeolitic tuff that were used for the tests presented in this paper were taken from the exploitation field "Igroš-Vidojevići" - atar of the village of Igroš. The paper presents the results of testing the mentioned samples of zeolitic tuff with the aim of analyzing the mineragenetic characteristics of the deposit, determining the quality of zeolite, its application and methods of valorization. In the characterization of the samples, the following methods were applied: elemental chemical analysis, determination of the cation exchange capacity (KKI) and X-ray powder diffraction (RDP).
